This little Bluetooth Dongle is designed to add Bluetooth functionality to Victron products with a VE.Direct port. You can use this dongle to add Bluetooth to the "BlueSolar" line of charge controllers, in order to program them using the Victron Connect App.
 
"SmartSolar" Controllers have this functionality built it and do not need this dongle.
 
You can also use this dongle to add Bluetooth the the Phoenix line of inverters.
 
For larger inverters, such as the Victron MultiPlus and Quattro, you'll need the VE.Bus Smart Dongle instead.
