These resettable breakers are a great alternative to fuses, especially for batteries and high-power charge controllers. A fuse or breaker should be placed on every positive line between every component and the batteries, to prevent a short circuit from causing damage.
 
Resettable breakers are re-useable, unlike fuses, making them better for off-grid installations where replacement fuses may not be readily available, for example on a boat or in a rural area.
 
Resettable breakers also act as a push-button disconnect switch, allowing you to disconnect each component with the push of a button, without having to worrying about sparks or tools.
 
These 120A resettable breakers are ideal for LiFePO4 battery line connections, for batteries with a 100A maximum continuous discharge rate, such as ReLion RB-100s and BattleBorn 100Ah batteries. This provides both an easy-off switch and a second line of overcurrent protection in addition to the battery's BMS.
 
For batteries with a 150A continuous discharge rate, such as our new LightHarvest 200Ah batteries, or Lion UT-1300s, use a 150A breaker instead.
