Midnite Solar MNEPV resettable breakers are a great option for adding DC breaker protection to your install. You can mount these breakers on a standard 35mm DIN rail, or in a MNBABY and BIGBABY Box. Each box can hold 4 MNEPV breakers.
 
These breakers come in sizes ranging from 10-63 Amps, at up to 150 Volts DC. They are designed to interrupt the positive line of a circuit, but they are technically polarized. One side is labeled "--" and the other is labeled "++" even though both sides should be positive.
 
This polarized marking is there because in higher voltage DC systems, 48V+, it is important to connect the "++" side to the "most positive" side of the circuit, which is typically the battery side. This is to ensure an arc cannot fuse the terminals of the breaker together while it is flipping under high load, and in those extreme cases, the direction of the current matters.
 
In low voltage 12V systems, the voltage is too low for an arc like that to occur, and so it does not matter which side of the positive line connects to which terminal.
 
The terminals are a screw-terminal style with a #2 Phillip's style screw, and can fit wire up to #6 AWG. Refer to the sample diagram for an example of how these breakers are wired in 12V systems.
